Should hockey games be viewed for free or PPV?
Most sports channels in a basic sattelite package come with games specific to the division or area in which the channel is produced (sportsnet-west has mostly oilers, vancouver, and flames home games). However, you can purchase Pay-Per-View games, which can provide games for all teams in the league. PPV games are charged more for the game, because of the service. My view is that this is correct, as for the game to be provided on the network, it costs more money to provide in the service area. If the games were free, the networks would lose money in order to provide this service, and the quality of the games would probably not ne as good because of the loss of money for the company (for example, PPV games not being in HD quality).
